Frameworks
- PECR: rules on unsolicited marketing calls
- GDPR: lawful basis (legitimate interests or consent), transparency, minimization
- UK DNC: screen against TPS/CTPS where applicable
Operational Patterns
- Opening disclosure: identify company, AI assistant, purpose, and opt-out option
- Recording notice if recording: provide no-record option where feasible
- Purpose limitation: only collect data required for booking/qualification
- Honor opt-outs across channels; store suppression lists
Example Script
“Hi, it's Nova with Quantum Automations. I'm an AI assistant calling about a quick demo booking. Is now a bad time? If you'd rather not receive calls, say ‘opt out' and I'll remove you.”
Good / Bad / Ugly
- Good: Clear disclosure + opt-out; TPS/CTPS screening; activity logs.
- Bad: Recording without notice; ambiguous purpose.
- Ugly: Continuing after explicit refusal; failing to sync suppression lists.
