The Challenge

An interior design firm needed to collect product images and specifications across dozens of UK fabric, wallpaper, and flooring vendors for creating mood boards. Manually browsing each vendor's website was time-consuming and the data formats were inconsistent. They needed a unified product catalog with browsing, filtering, and mood board creation capabilities.

Python Playwright scraper with site-specific JSON "recipes" for each vendor
Prefers sitemaps for product discovery, falls back to paginated listing crawls
Per-site selector configurations with resilient fallbacks for different HTML patterns
